Welcome to my Home
Interior Design has been my passion for years now. I have always wanted to design homes and now I finally have the chance. One important lesson I have learned, is when you are on a budget it is wise to furnish one room at a time. Don’t be eager to furnish your home all at once. Maybe buy one piece every time you get paid. Look for pieces that stand out and mean something to you. You will love and appreciate your home so much more when you take your time. You also don’t have to break the bank when decorating your home. Look for pieces at places like Homegoods, Marshalls, and Hobby lobby . Yard sales and flea markets are also great places to find furniture. As the old saying goes, “One mans trash is another mans treasure.” I get a lot of my furniture from those stores and I also shop Online. Some of the websites I frequent are Wayfair.com, Target, and Walmart. Target and walmart tend to carry better pieces online than they do in stores. I suggest buying a piece that you really love as well. There is nothing wrong with an investment piece or two for each room. Some furniture is hard to save money on. A couch and a bed are pieces that are worth investing in. These are pieces that are going to last for a long time so I suggest saving up for those pieces. If you are unsure where to begin, a great website to get inspiration from is Pinterest. You can find inspiration for color palettes, and all kinds of things. Pinterest can be an awesome resource! Just be careful because Pinterest can also become an addiction ! If you need some inspiration check out my Pinterest Page. I have placed some pictures down below of some great pieces I have purchased so far for my apartment!
These two pieces were purchased at Ross. I picked them because they stood out to me. I felt as though they would go great in my living room. The theme in my living room is metallics and grey neutrals. I wanted to go for a look of simplicity with a touch of glam!
